Artichoke Rose
QUESTION: Hello,
A co-worker brought me a bouquet of white roses with one flower in the center that she referred to as an Artichoke Rose?
IT IS absolutely beautiful. I cannot find any such classification online anywhere?
Any idea what it really is called - or if it is really even truly considered a Rose??
Thank you,
Mary Ann
I tried to download a photo but my computer was not cooperating!
ANSWER: Hi Mary Ann. The flower you are refering to as an Artichoke Rose, is actually the flower of the artichoke plant, before it becomes an artichoke we eat.
It's not a true rose, just called as such, because of the beautiful rose like flowers.
You can have more such flowers if you grow artichoke plants.
