Fantin Latour Rose

Fantin Latour Centifolia Rose
Rosa Fantin Latour Rose is an old Centifolia rose with a rich
intoxicating rose fragrance from Queen Victorias
time or before.
The gorgeous, scrumptious powdery pink blooms appear in midsummer, and can be 3 inches (8cm) across when fully
open.
The shrub 'Fantin Latour' reaches about 4 feet, but can grow quite taller and wider, so give it plenty of room.
Pruning after flowering increases the number of blooms for the following year.

Rosa 'Fantin
Latour' blooms for at least full month even in the zone 8 climate.
It is a very big rose bush, mounding 4-5 feet high and wide, given time.
The rose canes are covered with beautiful
matte green foilage that makes the flowers stand out spectacularly.
This is one of the few old European roses that really thrives in the South and needs no pampering, only
minimal rose care.
The rose is named after Henri Fantin-Latour (1836-1904), a famous French painter, renowned for still lifes of
flowers, many of them Old Garden Roses.
Zones 4-9.
