Feeding Roses

QUESTION: When do I feed my roses?

I know there are certain food mixes for roses but if I don't want blooms, but to strengthen the root system and leaves... isn't there a different mix I need? Maybe just feed it potassium?

When do I feed triple phosphate?

ANSWER: I only recommend using fertilizers especially for roses.

They not only make the rose healthy and productive, with foilage and blooms as well.

You could put some Epson Salt around your rose bushes, about half a cup, and work it in the soil a bit, and water well.

Don't do this now, if you live in a cold climate area.

The Epson salt should only be applied after planting or pruning time.
