Roses that can live through the summer
by: Gail

After killing 5 rose plants from the hot AZ sun, I finally found a solution. I planted them in huge terra cotta pots. They are on rolling wheels. They get the morning sun and then get rolled into the shade. Every morning I spray them and given them planty of water. So far, so goid!

Arizona Roses
by: Sue

I've been raising Roses in Arizona for 30 years. They really do burn up in summer without plenty of water. Don't fertilize them...just give them water. They will be crispy critters until September. Mid-September, trim then down 1/3 and fertilize for November blooms. Prune them in January and have gorgeous roses for Easter.
My favorite is the Peace rose, old as it is.
