Hybrid Tea Roses Are Perfect For Cut Flowers

Hybrid tea roses are distinguished from other roses in that they carry their large flowers
usually on one long stem.
In year 1867, a new rose called, 'La France', was introduced, by rose breeder Jean-Batiste Guillot.
It was the first in a long line of tea roses, which later became known as large-flowered
roses.

'La France', the first tea rose introduced.
Some people refer to hybrid tea's as the nobility of the rose World. These rose bushes are the classic
for cut flowers, and a great choice for bouquet lovers.
The majority will also bloom continuosly throughout the growing season.
The blooms are usually large and very gorgeous and are produced mostly one to a stem or sometime
in a small cluster of 2 or 3.
Hybrid tea rose bushes are medium to tall with a sort of upright and narrow habit, comparable to
a vase-shaped type profile.

'Just Joey', a wonderful fragrant tea rose.
Tea rose care includes specific pruning needs. They should be pruned down by a third every
spring to encourage a good flower production throughtout the growing season.
Here is some excellent examples of my favorite fragrant tea roses.

'Sombreuil': A wonderful climbing tea rose with magnificent creamy white flowers.
'Double Delight': One of the loveliest hybrid teas with fragrant white petals that
develop into cherry red edges, creating a dramatic contrast.
'Just Joey': A beautiful rose with superbly colored blooms. The wavy-edged petals are
a rich peachy, orange or cantaloupe hue, that softens to peachy-pink at the outer edges as
the blooms mature.
'Peace': The best selling tea rose to date. It's known for it's lovely color and large
pink-blushed yellow blooms that open to a stunning cupped form. The introduction of the 'Peace'
rose in 1945 really increased the tea roses popularity with the gardeners.
