Lavender Rose Bush
by Stephanie Dahne
QUESTION: I was given some lavendina (spelling) from a florist that was going out of business they were growing in hot houses and did not do well in Pa.
I am wondering if you know of a supplier or a lavender rose bush that has so sweet and strong a rose sent?
Thank you for your consideration
Stephanie W. Dahne.
ANSWER: My favorite lavender rose bush is Angel Face rose, because it has esquisite ruffled rose flowers, and has an intense fruity rose scent that is very lovely.
It's a floribunda rose that is low-growing and compact. About 3 feet tall and wide.
It might be tender in cold climates, so you need to use winter protection for roses so it won't suffer from winter kill.
It blooms with abundance all season long and healthy glossy foilage that is very attractive.
