Midas Touch Rose

midas touch rose

A Deep Yellow Rose

Midas Touch rose bush, a well-named deep yellow rose with particularly bright yellow flowers. 'Midas Touch' hybrid tea rose buds are moderately full and open into the most lovely large, fragrant blooms that hold their color very well.

The long yellow rose bloom's stems are perfect for cut flowers. 'Midas Touch' sort of old fashioned yellow rose flowers are quick to repeat bloom and flowers extremely freely over a long period. The foilage is large, abundant and medium green.

The growth habit is tall, upright and bushy and the disease resistance is very good.

The pictures of yellow rose 'Midas Touch' reveals the golden yellow blooms of this rose very well, as well as its beautiful flower form.

The rose bush grows to about 4-5 feet tall and to about 3-4 feet wide. Its brilliant yellow blooms are a delight for cutting, and you can't miss their colors in flowerbeds and borders.

Try planting them with vibrant red and orange flowers for a hot-color combination, or, my favorite, plant them with violet blues and purples, such as English Lavender or Catmint (Nepeta).

One downside to the rose is, that it tends to open too quickly in hot weather. So I don't recommend it for desert areas and areas with very hot summers.

The rose received the All Ammerican Rose Society's (AARS) award in 1994. Zones 6-11.
