Mutated Growth On Roses
Could Be Rose Virus

by: Annie Woy

If I may, I'd also suggest that you consider this may be Rose Rosette virus, which is spread by tiny little mites. This is a deadly virus for roses; I had an enormous and beautiful Paul's Himalyan Musk Rambler killed within 2 years of infection.

Experts will tell you there's no cure; only controlling the mites with spraying BEFORE they land on your roses.

However...I've been experimenting with zinc and I found that if you drive zinc coated roofing nails into the base of a mildly infected rose, it SEEMS to halt the process. (I'm not saying this is a cure...it just SEEMS that it has helped my roses.)
