Flower Beds on Asphalt.
by: Anonymous

Hi, I "Love,Love" flowers of all kinds, I may be purchasing property that has no grass, only Asphalt, I want to have lots of flowerbeds, I would even like to have such plants as Crepe Myrtle, is this possible...Thanks! Linda.

Hi Linda,
Yes you can build raised beds over the asphalt, if you make drainage holes in them, like I described in this post.
If the light (sun) situation is correct for crepe myrtle you can grow that plant in a raised bed. Any plant is ok to grow in raised beds.
