Rose Within a Rose
QUESTION: My rose bush has a flower and growing out of the middle of that flower is a stem and a bud on top of that!
My sister-in-law said this was a parasite bud but I can't find anything on the internet about it.
Thanks for your response!
ANSWER: Hi Roscel! Roses can behave in unusual ways some times.
This was caused by pollenating insects.
Open face rose flowers that insects can enter are more likely to have this happen.
I have actually seen it before in someone elses garden.
Take a picture, when the rose bud coming from the open rose bloom, opens up.
Best Regards,
Annelie
