Rose Pruning Angle of Cut

When you prune the knock out rose, in what direction should the angle of the cut be? I would like the bush be round.

The picture above shows the correct angle for pruning roses.
You would want the angle to lean inward, so the bud grows outward for a rounded effect.
Otherwise the new shoot would grow toward the center, which is wrong.
All stems growing toward the main canes should be removed.
