Trimming Roses

How often do you trim a rose brush? Thanks Pat

Hi Pat,
I trim my repeat-blooming roses after each flower flush, followed by an application of rose food.
This rose trimming is different than the regular spring pruning for repeat bloomers.
It encourages faster flower flushes. You only do a light trim to remove old flowers and shape it a bit.
Also trim off any dead, or spindly canes any time.
