Want Roses For Tampa Florida 3647

by Debby

QUESTION:

We have just moved here from San Diego Ca where we had an acre with 100 roses most from my own cuttings and roots. Here I have trees and rain but some sun here and there. The funny thing is was that I hated Dr. Huey and would get rid of it. I understand that it will keep the roses from Nemitodes.. In San Diego I hated wet leaves and the ground dried quickly but had gorgeous huge blooms. Also know that the growing season is different since I tried to get honeysuckle and was told that this is not the growing season.. Can I get worm Gold, worm castings,
anywhere locally ? Also is January a better time to plant roses ?
This house has Knockout Roses in different locations. I also like sweet alysum.. In San Diego I used to use succulents as moisture retention but guess I won't be needing them here... Debby
