Yellow Rose Of Texas

QUESTION: I am looking for a old bush that my grandma has in her yard years ago.....it was called yellow rose of Texas...or that is what she called it.

I would like to find one and plant it in her memory

I do not know if it is a a rose or called that ...it had small yellow flowers . it had no thorns on it ....help.

ANSWER: Hi Eva! I think it was the Lady Banks Rose. It's also refered to as the yellow rose of Texas.

It has clusters of small yellow rose flowers and it's thornless.
